At Something Special Portrait Sessions, we provide regular new photo-sets. Our limited photo-sets only happen once a year or as a one-off, with limited bookings available for a short amount of time. Our Classic Sessions can be booked anytime year-round upon request. These sessions do not require a set-up or theme. They are a casual photo session with one thing that makes them special - the location, the subject, the style. These sessions are simple and sweet. Who are these sessions for?
Something Special Portrait Sessions are perfect for anyone. Whether you are updating your family portraits, celebrating a new bub, showing off your pregnancy bump or having your first ever professional photos done as a couple. Child/ren, grandparents, generational lines, friends, furbabies or just treating yourself - there is something for everyone. They also make a great gift for special occasions - birthdays, anniversaries, engagement, special holidays, thank-you gestures, you name it!

How many images will we receive?
If not already included in your package, images can be purchased on an individual basis after you receive your online gallery preview, allowing you to decide how much money you would like to spend or which images you would like to purchase. If available, a full-gallery package will also be offered in your gallery preview email, perfect for those who would like to receive all their images from their session.
How should we dress for our session?
Some sessions will have a PDF style-guide included. This will help you choose the best outfit/s. If not provided, we suggest to dress in complementary colours, something comfortable, and where possible, legs covered. If you need further help finding something that suits, feel free to get in touch.
Should I get a fake tan done for my session?
It is recommended that fake tans are avoided where possible. Fake tans give your skin an unnatural orange hue. However, it is ultimately your decision if you prefer to get one done. The main thing is that you feel confident and comfortable for your session. However, please be aware that a fake tan may negatively affect the way your skin looks in your images.
Do I need my hair and make-up done?
It is recommended that hair is styled nicely and that make-up is done naturally. This can be done professionally or personally. The main thing is that you feel confident and comfortable for your session.
I'm not very good in photos, what happens then?
You are in very good hands. You will be fully guided throughout the session. The main thing is that you feel comfortable.
Can I book more than one session?
Yes, definitely. You are welcome to book as many sessions as you like.
How many people can I have in each session?
In general, up to 5 people is preferable. If not stated in the package information and you have more than 5 people, please get in touch to see if we can accommodate for you, as each session is different.
When will I get the images?
The gallery will be ready within 14 working days after your session date. You will then have 14 days to select, pay for individual images and download your images. After the 14 days, your gallery will be removed to allow storage for following galleries. We cannot guarantee photo archiving once your gallery has been removed.
How do I get my images?
Your images will be uploaded to an online gallery. You will receive an email to the gallery where you can preview your images and select which ones you would like to purchase. An Invoice for your selected or additional images will then be sent. Once your Invoice has been paid, an email will be sent for you to digitally download your images in high-resolution quality.
What if I need to cancel my session?
Please get in touch ASAP. As these sessions are limited, the sitting-fee is non-refundable.
When is the latest that I can book a session?
If there are spots available for booking before the session's date, you can book up to 24 hours prior to the session. Bookings close within 24 hours of the session taking place.
